Note: Up until 06/16/07 we were mailing out letters to churches we created websites for. Due to the latest postage increase, we will not be mailing letters out any more. This page will lay out what this is all about and your options.

The Unofficial FamilyNet Web Page
So - FamilyNet has created a web page for your church, you have decided you do want a web page, but, are wondering what your options are. You have a myriad of options available to you. I will try and lay them out, so they are understandable.
You can do nothing!
You have a basic web page up, and you now have an internet presence. If the information is correct, you need do nothing else.
You can ask us to take the web site down!
If you already have a web page, you simply do not want a web page, or you have any other reason that you do not want a web site up, you can send a US Mail letter or call us (FamilyNet International address - see contact information). You can email me at sysop@familynet-international.org. It is critical that you provide the URL that was sent to you in your letter.
You can send me a Church Bulletin!
Go to the contact information and mail a bulletin to our P.O. Box. I will update the page as soon as I can.
You can update the information!
Send me an email with the correct information and any other information your would like on the web site. I can add Bible Tracts if you like.
You can update the information yourself!
Your web page was created using Microsoft Front Page. If you want to update it yourself, I will move it to a new location, add the Front Page Extensions, and send you a log on ID and password. I will have to verify you of course!
You will also be able to create content via any HTML editor you wish. Once content is created you can FTP (File Transfer Protocol) the content to your site.
You can create a web site at another web hosting service. See the Free Web Hosting Button! I will point your domain name to your new site.
I can set up "sitebuilder" templates for you. You can then create and update your site with easy to use templates.
You can get a new domain!
I have registered domains for a few churches already, and pointed them to their free FamilyNet church web page. The cost is generally between $8-$10 a year. I will register the domain and pass the cost on to you. (The domains are registered in my name, but if I register a domain for you, I would be happy to transfer if to you if you so desire although this has not come up so far).
I can point your domain wherever you want!
If you choose to set up a free web site, or have a page at another provider, I can point your FamilyNet Domain name wherever you like at no charge.
Unless you have registered a new domain (not free), your FamilyNet domain is a "second level" domain. For example, your FamilyNet Church URL may be http://testing.baptist-church-online.us.
The top level domain is baptist-church-online.us. This is a FamilyNet domain shared by many other churches. YOUR second level domain is testing.baptist-church-online.us. You are Testing Baptist Church.
You cannot take ownership of this second level domain, however FamilyNet will let you continue to use this domain for your church presence online as long as the web site continues to be used by a doctrinally sound Baptist or Bible Church.
Check out the free web hosting button for options on moving your domain!
